I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to those who don't know me and reintroduce to those who do.
My name is Brandy Phillips and I became a Travel Advisor in January of 2023. Yes, I love traveling, but where my passion lies is helping people with their adventures.
I do take this very seriously and handle it with the upmost care because, it's not about just going on a trip.
It's about:
You growing outside of your comfort zone
You seeing & experiencing this beautiful world
Rejuvenating yourself to be your best self.
Connecting & Growing in your relationships with family, significant others and friends.
Meeting new people and seeing the way they live.
Learning new cultures and seeing how it compares or differs from your life.
There are so many more reasons but this is just to name a few. I want to normalize and prioritize travel for you. So whether you never travel or take 100 trips a year, I promise you there is something here for you. In my future blogs, I will be talking about the above reasons to travel as well as some new ones.
How many trips per year should you take?
Drum Roll Please..... 4! Yes, you read that right, a minimum of 4 trips a year!
Before you roll your eyes, say "yeah, right" and start with all of the excuses, please keep reading and I will explain my logic.
Trip 1: Your significant other
Trip 2: Your family
Trip 3: Your friend(s)
Trip:4: Yourself
My definition of a trip:
You must have a least 1 overnight stay
It must be at least 100 miles from your house.
That's it! So with this being said, you don't have to spend a lot of money to take 4 trips a year.
Now let's say you don't have one of these 4 options to travel with. No problem, just pick up another trip with the one you feel the most uncomfortable with and get comfortable. For example: No significant other and the thought of traveling alone gives you some feelings you don't enjoy? Guess what that means? You get 2 trips with yourself this year! How fun to be able to prioritize yourself, what a blessing!
One of my goals is to normalize travel. There are so many benefits from exploring locally to around the globe. If you haven't caught the travel bug, then stick with me, I will do my best to get you there. If you have, you know exactly what I am talking about!
The Boarding Pass to Your Thoughts:
How many trips do you take a year?
What feelings did you have when you heard about the 4 trips per trip?
You go Brandy!! Your blog is inspiring, and as a frequent solo traveler (mostly due to work), I vouch for all the benefits of solo traveling...now to step outside MY comfort zone to vacay solo!!
